The offer
Relai is a Bitcoin appGlossaryBitcoin appA smartphone app you can use to buy, save and often also store bitcoin. The key difference: some apps hold the bitcoin for you, others give you your own keys from the start. On the learning path: Stage 4 · Step 1 – Ways to get Bitcoin →In the glossary → from Zurich; customers in the EU are served by Relai EU SASU in Paris.[2] Bitcoin is the only thing you can buy and sell. You buy either as a one-off or through a weekly or monthly savings planGlossarySavings plan (Bitcoin savings plan)Automatically buying bitcoin at fixed intervals with a fixed amount, for example $50 a month. France’s financial markets authority, the AMF, authorised Relai EU SASU on 23 October 2025 as a crypto-asset service provider (CASPGlossaryCASP (crypto-asset service provider)A company that professionally provides crypto-asset services to customers – such as trading, exchange, custody or transfers. Your responsibility
When you set up the app, you receive a 12-word recovery phraseGlossarySeed phrase (recovery phrase)A sequence of usually 12 or 24 words from which your wallet derives all its private keys. Anyone who knows the words has full access to your bitcoin – so they belong in an offline backup and never in anyone else’s hands. On the learning path: Stage 5 · Step 3 – Backing up your seed phrase →In the glossary →.[2] Anyone who knows it has access to your bitcoin. If you lose both your phone and the phrase, your bitcoin are gone – Relai cannot restore them either. The wallet is a software walletGlossarySoftware walletA wallet in the form of an app on a smartphone or computer. It stores your keys on a device with internet access – convenient and usually without a purchase price, but more vulnerable than a hardware wallet.
