About Blockchain21
About us
We want you to understand Bitcoin – at your own pace, without hype and without pressure.
Our mission
Our promise
We show you the path people take to build long-term wealth with Bitcoin – in the right order, with sources, and with the risks in plain view.

Bitcoin is the first money that belongs to no one and that no one can print at will. It can be held without a bank and sent without permission – anywhere in the world. For many people, that means freedom.
This freedom comes at a price: responsibility. People who do not understand Bitcoin fall more easily for hype, fraud or costly mistakes. That is why we explain Bitcoin calmly, honestly and with sources – from your first satoshi to your own wallet. Without price hype, without pressure, and with the risks on the table.
Why only Bitcoin?
We explain Bitcoin only. We mention other crypto assets at most to draw a distinction. Why, is explained in Bitcoin, not “crypto”.
Many exchanges we refer to offer other crypto assets besides bitcoin. That does not rule them out: we only explain how to buy bitcoin there and move it to your own wallet. What else you do at a provider is your decision. How we are funded is explained on How we are funded.
Who is behind Blockchain21
Blockchain21 is operated by Konrad Klar. [Short introduction: who is behind it, why this site exists, how long you have been involved with Bitcoin?]
Blockchain21 is independent: no provider, exchange or investor has a stake in us or a say in our content. All mandatory details are in the legal notice.
Our editorial principles
These rules apply to all articles, the glossary, provider profiles and tools:
- Sources are mandatoryEvery factual claim – number, date, law, study, incident – is backed by a source. Sources are listed below every article and collected on our sources page.
- Primary sources firstLaws, authorities such as BaFin and ESMA, the Bitcoin white paper, technical standards and scientific studies take precedence over media reports.
- Current – with a dateWe show the price, block height and other network data live instead of as fixed numbers. Every article states when it was last updated, and other time-sensitive figures carry a date.
- Editorial and advertising separatedPartners have no influence on content or assessments. Advertising is always labelled, with the word “Ad” first. Placed provider boxes only appear from stage 4 – before that, only cards you open yourself.
- Balanced on controversial topicsOn contested topics we show what it is about, the arguments for and against – and what it means for you.
- No pressure, no forecastsNo price targets, no false urgency, no promises of returns. You do not have to buy anything today.
- Same information for everyoneWe explain and put things into context but do not give personal advice. Our content is the same for all readers.
- Easy to understandWe write for beginners, explain technical terms when they first appear and link to our glossary.
How we use AI
We also use AI tools for research, structuring and wording our texts. Every text is read by a human before publication, checked against the cited sources and is subject to editorial responsibility. Responsibility for all content lies with us – not with a machine.
We do not use AI-generated images that realistically depict real people or events. Our illustrations and example screens are recognisable as such.
The collection
We call the photos on Blockchain21 our collection: nine calm motifs – ancient busts, two bulls, coins, a vault. They stand for what matters to us: patience, understanding and safe custody.
They are not a promise. The coins are collector’s pieces – real bitcoin are only entries on the blockchain. That is why we never show these images next to advertising or providers. Who took each photo is noted on the image and in the image credits.

All photos are published under free licences that also permit commercial use. None of them requires attribution – we credit the creators anyway, on the image and in this list. We resized the files and gave them a uniform, slightly warm desaturation, which all three licences allow. They are served from our own server.
