Terms of use for the reader account
The account is optional and free. Here is what applies when you create one.

Scope
These terms apply to the optional, free reader account (“knowledge dashboard”) on this website, provided by Konrad Klar (details in the imprint). You can read all content and use all tools without an account – these terms only apply if you create one.
What the account offers
With the account you can keep saved items and your learning progress across devices and register certificates for the learning path so that others can verify them. The account is free of charge.
Blockchain21 provides general information, not investment, tax or legal advice (see the risk notice). The account has no wallet functions: we do not hold bitcoin or keys for you. Never enter a seed phrase, password or 2FA code anywhere on this website.
We may develop, change or remove individual features of the account as long as its core – saved items, progress and deleting your data – remains available.
Registration and minimum age
You register by entering your email address and using the sign-in link we send you; the contract for the account is concluded when you use the first link. You must be at least [16] years old and use your own email address. One account per person.
Keeping your access safe
Anyone with access to your email inbox can sign in to your account. Protect your inbox, sign out on shared devices and tell us at support@blockchain21.net if you suspect misuse.
Fair use
Please do not register other people’s email addresses, do not create accounts or requests automatically, do not try to get around security measures and do not put names of other people or offensive content on certificates. If you seriously breach these rules, we may block the account.
Certificates
Registering a certificate is optional. Anyone with the verification code can see the type of certificate, the date and whether it is still valid. Your name is only shown if you explicitly agree; you can withdraw this at any time. A certificate only confirms that you worked through the learning path on this website – it is not an exam or qualification.
Availability and changes to the service
We run the website on our own server and try to keep it available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. If we discontinue the account function, we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance so that you can download your data.
Ending the account
You can delete your account yourself at any time, without notice; your data is then deleted as described in the privacy policy. We may end the account with 30 days’ notice, or block it immediately in case of serious misuse. Accounts without sign-in for 24 months are deleted after a notice by email and a further 30 days.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the Product Liability Act. Otherwise, as this is a free service, we are only liable for slight negligence if we breach an essential contractual obligation, and then limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Your decisions about buying, holding or selling bitcoin are your own responsibility.
Data protection
Which data the account uses and for how long is explained in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We will tell you about changes by email in good time. Changes to your disadvantage only apply if you agree to them; if you do not agree, we may end the account with 30 days’ notice, and you can download your data beforehand.
Applicable law and dispute resolution
German law applies. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
